Output Devices

শিক্ষালয় ওয়েবসাইটের পক্ষ থেকে শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য নিয়মিত কম্পিউটার বিষয়ে বিবিধ আলোচনা প্রদান করা হয়। বিগত আলোচনায় আমরা জেনেছিলাম Input Devices সম্পর্কে। আজকে আমরা জানবো Output Devices সম্পর্কে।

 

Output Devices:

             Output is the process of translating data, in machine readable from into a form understandable to humans or readable by machines. The information that is the result of processing is also often referred to as outputs. An Output device is a peripheral device that allows a Computer to communicate information to humans or another machine by accepting data from the computer and transforming them into usable form.

             Following are few of the important output devices, which are used in Computer systems:

 

  1. Monitors:

              Monitor, commonly called as Visual Display Unit (VDU), is the main output device of a computer. It forms images from tiny dots, called pixels that are arranged in a rectangular form. The sharpness of the image depends upon the number of the pixels.

              There are two kinds of viewing screen used for Monitors:

              (i) Cathode-Ray Tube (CRT)

              (ii)  Flat-Panel Display

 

  1. Graphic Plotter:

              It is an output unit that directly produces a hard copy record of data on a removable medium in the form of a two-dimensional graphic representation. Plotters are designed to produce large drawings or images such as construction plans for buildings or blueprints for mechanical objects.

  1. Printer:

              Once considered an expansive luxury for any PC, especially for home or small office systems, a printer is now virtually a necessity on any PC system.

              Types of Printers:

A) Dot-Matrix Printer

B) Daisy Wheel Printer

C) Line Printer

D) Ink-Jet Printers

E) Thermal –Transfer Printers

F) Laser Printers.
